Your details.
Barbers of Istanbul, 9 John Dalton Street, Manchester M2 6FW, is responsible for the personal details you give when you book.
To ask about your details, call the shop on 0161 839 3535 or ask in the shop.
What we collect
- Your name and UK mobile number, so the shop knows who is coming and can reach you about your appointment.
- Your email address, only if you give it. The form asks for one only when booking confirmation emails are switched on, and it is used only to send your confirmation.
- Anything you write in the notes box.
- The service, barber, date and time you book, and whether the appointment went ahead.
- If a deposit is asked for when you book: whether it was paid, kept or refunded. The payment itself is taken by Stripe; this site never sees or stores your card details.
How it is used
Only to manage your appointments and keep the shop's record of your visits. It is not sold or used for marketing. Each barber sees their own bookings with your name and mobile; your email and notes are seen only by the shop owner.
Bookings are stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare. If email confirmations are switched on, they are sent through Resend. If deposits are switched on, they are paid through Stripe. MCR Sites builds and runs this website and booking system for the shop.
Your details are kept as the shop's record of your visits until you ask for them to be deleted.
Cookies and storage
The public website sets no cookies, except one short-lived cookie when you are sent to pay a deposit, so your booking can be found when you come back from the payment page. While you book, the booking page keeps a random reference in your browser's session storage so a lost connection can't book you twice; it is gone when you close the tab. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party scripts. Directions open Google Maps or Apple Maps only when you tap them.
The shop's staff area uses one cookie to keep staff signed in, and remembers a few display choices on the staff device.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your details at any time. Ask in the shop and we will sort it out. If you are unhappy with how your details are handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
